We are pleased to announce the reopening of the Portola Springs swimming pools at 5 AM on September 1, 2021. We have a secured a new distributor of chlorine that can service the large-scale nature of the bodies of water in the community. The Board will continue to investigate the option of the NexGen System (chlorine generating system) for additional locations as well. As it stands now, Lomas Valley and Silverado already have the NexGen System, and Highland Pool was recently approved, and the installation is underway.

The Board has also approved to heat all the open pools through the winter 21/22, instead of reducing the heated locations which we have historically done in the past. This decision came to fruition after discussions over the challenges we have faced for the last 18 months due to COVID-19 and the nationwide chlorine shortage.
Please note that Orchard View and Tomato Springs pools will remain closed as there are approved repairs including replastering beginning September 1, 2021. Updates on reopening dates will be provided when available.
